"Last week my friend and I decided to go for a 3-day birding trip to Ajodhya Hills in Purulia (West Bengal). We contacted Mr. Subhra Pakhira, a birding guide who was highly recommended by many in facebook. As our birding expedition progressed, we realized Subhra is much more than birding guide. He possesses in-depth knowledge about birds, habitats, migration patterns etc. Nature is his love and his mind lives in nature. Because of this, he was quickly able locate the species within the vast area of Ajodhya hills. Subhra is very respectful and friendly to his customers, and he always cared about our needs and comfort. Subhra went above and beyond to show us bird species that he thought we should not miss, which included even venturing out at night. Without his guidance, it would have been impossible for us to see and photograph these birds. My first ever birding trip was amazing and this was possible only because of Subhra."
