At roughly 2,655 metres on the road between Roing and Anini, Mayodia Pass is one of Arunachal Pradesh's most celebrated birding sites. Its rhododendron and fir forests hold Sclater's Monal, Blood Pheasant and a wealth of high-altitude laughingthrushes and rosefinches, with spectacular rhododendron blooms in spring and occasional snowfall in winter. Wild Walk's birding itineraries base out of nearby Roing for early-morning sessions at the pass.
